Original Pine Boards Restoration in Homerton, London
We were called to restore these original pine boards. Due to repeated interventions during the past decades of plumbers and electricians the degradation process was accelerated for this floor.
When we first saw it a big disappointment could be read over our faces. But with the possible result in mind we started hand scraping the many old layers of paint. The loose boards were properly secured avoiding nails and the old brad nails were punched down. A lot of work was done for the landing and steps which were covered in a very thick led based paint.
After all the preparations were completed wooden slivers were glued and knocked down between boards so the gap were eliminated.
The sanding process was started and after we were happy with the state of the floor we applied 2 coats of lacquer and into the bathroom several layers of floor paint.
