Natural Look Engineered Oak Boards fitting
A multi stage project for which we had to thoroughly prepare the sub-floor: the carpet and thermoplastic tiles were removed. We grinded the lumps and humps of the screed to achieve a plane surface. Then liquid DPM was used to secure the new engineered hardwood floor against any potential damp. Also the skirting boards were replaced.
Because of the small space tolerance under the entrance door as well for design, together with our client we chose to craft a doormat frame. It became the turning feature for this floor adding to it that special touch of craftsmanship.
Another reason for having a doormat frame is the added protection against scratching the floor with a loose mat which often catches grit under.
Once again, we could deliver this beautiful result with the exceptional quality wood provided by Natural Wood Floor Co. The lenghts up to 2,8m are amazing. This was also our recommendation.
The superior strength and stability of engineered hardwood floors makes them less likely to expand or contract, meaning they’re less susceptible to changes in temperatures and humidity.
Engineered hardwood is a versatile alternative to solid hardwood. Unlike solid hardwood, which is one piece of wood milled from a tree, engineered wood flooring is actually made of several wood plies (layers) that are fused together under heat and pressure.
