Modern Stair Cladding in W6 Shepherds

We are glad to see how our modern stair cladding service is chosen more and more. In the new built basement a wonderful floor was previously installed and we were called to clad the stairs with the same wood. The design features were all modern with clean crisp edges and the stairways couldn't make any exception.   
Therefore we were called specifically to provide the look of modern leading edge boxed stairs. After assessing the stair structure and other important technical details we could start preparing the treads and risers. A main challenge was given by the narrow width of the boards compared to the width of the steps as this meant to have an additional joint on each tread and riser. Of course this would have ruined the seamless look that we wanted to achieve. We started to pair the boards in accordance to tone colors and grain pattern. The next step was to precisely machine the side of the boards to create a barely visible joint thus obtaining a sufficient wide board. Beside craftsmanship our specialised equipment helped us in delivering these wonderful result.
Another challenge was to seamlessly join the last riser with the wood floor on the landing which was already installed.
