Floor sanding Balham
Oak and jatoba floor restoration, sanding and oil finishing
A battered and quite neglected wooden floor brought back to its original beauty. This floor was composed actually of two wood species, solid oak boards in lounge and hallway and jatoba parquet, also known as brazilian cherry in kitchen.
When I first saw this floor in its poor state I understood that a methodical and patient approach will turn it into an amazing precious wooden floor.
After we cleared all the furniture a proper assessment was carried out to check the structural integrity, find the weak spots, look for loose boards etc.
A few boards had to be care and repair as a previous inexperienced worker attempted at one point to do a quick fixing which went wrong.
After removing all the lacquer, sanding and filling the gaps the Osmo Polyx Oil was applied.
