Timeless Chevron Parquet with Sophisticated Twist
We worked on an impressive three-storey, five-bedroom Victorian terrace near Wandsworth Common, enhancing its character with a new beautifully crafted wooden parquet floor. The ground floor featured a spacious double split-level reception room, with further steps leading down to the kitchen.

For this project, we installed Oak Chevron Natural Oiled Silver White (15.5 x 90 x 450mm)—a premium choice that blends the timeless beauty of wood with a modern, sophisticated twist in the colour. The cool, neutral tones of silver white highlights the wood’s natural grain patterns, enhanced by a subtle silver-white oil and a lightly brushed surface. The result is a tactile, elegant finish that feels both fresh and effortlessly refined.
Seamless Elegance for Discerning Home Owners
Our refined, style-conscious customers with a keen eye for detail and design wanted a bespoke floor to complement the character of their home. The new flooring needed to harmonise with the built-in living room units, striking art pieces, and high-quality furniture, as well as the bold black-and-white chequered marble flooring in the hallway. We ensured a seamless transition between the new parquet and old stone floor and fitted furniture, creating a cohesive and elegant flow throughout the ground floor space.

Restoration and Floor Reinstallation with Wall Protection
The previous solid oak floor was in a very bad condition. It had been poorly installed over the original pine subfloor making it uneven and following a previous restoration attempt was now covered in old, peeling paint. It was clear that it now required removal rather than any restoration. To address the uneven surface, we removed the original floorboards, levelled the joists beneath, and installed a new plywood subfloor. The walls of the property were recently decorated with a specialist organic mineral paint and were very sensitive to dust, so we carefully covered the walls with plastic sheets to ensure their protection.

We carefully set out the starting line for the chevron pattern, ensuring that both levels of the room were perfectly aligned. The steps in the living room were designed as a focal feature, with a single board used for the entire step to avoid any disturbing joins at the centre, front, or back. The dimensions were carefully calculated, and the steps were custom-made with rounded edges, expertly stained to match the rest of the flooring for a seamless look.
We aligned the chevron pattern across both levels for a flawless finish.
