Parquet Dining Table

We truly enjoy working with wood and our trade is more than a regular job for us. At Fin Wood we see more when looking at stacked pieces of wood. We have had for a while some wonderful engineered wood which was a surplus from past flooring installation projects. To be more precise for about half a year.
As we had also a bit of spare time and space we took the opportunity to bring to life one of our well thought project: to build a dining table from wood flooring with a design inspired from wood flooring.
Because we used engineered parquet blocks for the top and engineered boards for legs we had and extra challenge: to hide any exposed sides of the wood which will show the ply structure of the engineered. And we used this extra challenge to improve the design by matching the wood grains to make them continuous along the perimetral cuts.
The table legs look like one huge whole piece of oak, but actually they are made of 4 engineered planks with a hollow space inside. This helped also to reduce the weight.
Another challenge, set by us, was to avoid any screws and brackets which we did.

When our design wood flooring dining table was finished we couldn't take our eyes from it. We managed to achieve a multitude of seamless key joints through which we could deliver this beautiful design.
