Original Pine Boards Restoration, Sanding & Painting, in Teddington, London
There is a special and unmatched look found only with the refinishing of original pine floors. Yet many are disappointed when these floors start to lose part of their clean and sharp look. And this is quite normal as pine is a softwood actually one of the softest.
If you are in for a more rustic look and feel we recommend to take a look at this floor which made the home to feel even more like home.
These type of floors require a considerable preparation work and if properly carried out the result will be wonderful. We had firstly to remove the hallway tiles and the OSB boards which were covering the floorboards. We did this with care not to damage the pine boards.
The loose boards we secured all throughout and started to insert the wooden slivers. After all the PVA adhesive was dry we could start stripping the floor of old tar and paint, dust and dirt settled into the grains and other imperfections.
When all the sanding, filling and preparation were finished the Farrow&Ball Wood Floor Primer could be applied after which the Farrow&Ball Wood Floor Paint.
