Did you know that you can achieve the look of a brushed wooden floor, without actually brushing the surface of the wood? This is exactly what we did for a project in a Victorian home in Shepherd’s Bush, London. The client was delighted with the end result, especially as our methods make the floor so easy to maintain.
For this project, in a lovely Victorian terraced home in London, we replaced the old carpets with a beautiful unsealed chevron parquet engineered wooden floor, which was fitted with a single row border. The wood was then sealed with a dark ebony oil. This was a tricky project, as is often the case in older properties, the walls were uneven which had an impact on the symmetry of the chevron design.
It’s natural to want to personalise a newly purchased home to reflect your own style and way of living. This was certainly the case for one of our recent projects...
Curved border and undercut skirting boards create an elegant new parquet wooden floor in Wimbledon: we were delighted to receive a top review for being “skilful, professional and efficient” when we fitted an Aged Oak Ebony parquet wooden floor in a flat in Wimbledon, South London.
The floor was carefully chosen by our clients which also had specific requirements for the design features. Our technical and aesthetic advice was taken also.
Herringbone Parquet floors are always special to us. Through their pattern an eye catching effect is created. Also they have a classy and distinguished appearance.
Although demanding we love tackling the special projects which require skills, care, attention to detail, full concentration but most of all thorough assessment and planning. We can say about this project that it was very technical and through this we managed to achieve a beautiful decorative and pleasant result.
A wonderfully decorated large space became more elegant and warm welcoming with these wide and long oak boards installed all throughout. The discretely integrated hearth frames which we crafted from the same boards as the floor made the whole design even smarter.
For this project we were in for a not such a pleasant surprise. As usual when having furniture we started by moving it in a safe side. The old laminate was removed as well as the old parquet which was hidden under the laminate.
