Maintaining lacquered floors
#CraftedForLife
Over time, the protective top layer of your wooden floor will naturally begin to wear down with use. In domestic settings, this is most noticeable in high-traffic zones such as entrances, areas near garden doors, in front of the sink or cooker, and beneath the dining table. These spots should be identified and checked regularly. If you notice the finish starting to look dull or tired, it’s a clear sign that maintenance is needed — and early action can help preserve the floor and prevent more intensive restoration later on.
Waterborne lacquered floors require ongoing care with a dedicated maintenance product such as LOBA ParkettCare. For best results, this should be applied evenly across all exposed areas of the floor to help preserve the finish, protect against wear, and maintain a uniform appearance.

For lacquered floors we recommend a dedicated maintenance product such as LOBA ParkettCare.

Lacquered floors require periodic re-finishing for good maintenance.
Application Method
Start by removing any loose dust and dirt using a vacuum, broom, or dry mop. Next, damp-clean the surface with LOBACARE® CleanFix or Cleaner. If there are stubborn marks or build-up from previous care products, these should be removed first by stripping the surface with LOBACARE® products. For larger areas, we recommend using a suitable flat mop for even and efficient application.
If scratches or dents occur that compromise the protective finish, it’s important to apply a maintenance oil promptly to reseal the exposed wood grain and prevent further damage. For more significant issues or deep damage, we strongly recommend contacting the company that installed or finished the floor for a professional assessment and appropriate repairs.
