Welcoming a New Member to the Fin Wood Team… a Little Bird has joined us

At Fin Wood, we’re always updating, refining, and refreshing our design to better reflect what matters most to us. Our passion lies in the beauty of wood, and with that comes a deep appreciation for nature—forests, trees, and wildlife—all intricately connected in a delicate balance.

We cherish every opportunity to celebrate our connection with nature and share our love for the European forest. That’s why we’re delighted to introduce you to the new Fin Wood bird, the Pine Grosbeak. Native to Scandinavia, this Nordic bird thrives in coniferous forests of pine, spruce, and fir, embodying the natural harmony and enduring beauty that inspires our work.

Wood is one of nature’s most beautiful and timeless materials; warm, natural, and full of character. Its grain, texture, and colour together tell the unique life story of each tree. In Swedish, fin means ‘beautiful, fine, nice’ and fittingly, no one appreciates the beauty of wood quite like the Scandinavians. They often say that to truly understand Scandinavia, you must first understand its forests, over half of the Nordic lands are blanketed by a rich canopy of trees.

The Pine Grosbeak, a small yet striking Scandinavian bird, is known for its strength, robust beak, and distinctive rose-red feathers. Much like us at Fin Wood, small, strong, and proudly red. Welcoming the Pine Grosbeak into our logo, we embrace it as a symbol of our passion for high-quality, sustainable wood craftsmanship.

Keep an eye out for our bird across our social media profiles, website, emails, and even on our fleet of vans as they make their way through London. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you and to bring our craftsmanship into your home,  creating floors and staircases designed to last a lifetime.
