We're excited to begin projects scheduled for the start of the new year. We look forward to continuing to showcase the excellent standard Fin Wood is known for in 2026. We’d like to thank all our customers for their trust and support throughout last year, and we wish everyone a very happy New Year.
1. Custom made engineered oak staircase in a naturally light oak colour.
A BESPOKE, LIGHT FILLED HOME CLAD IN PREMIER GRADE ENGINEERED OAK, HERNE HILL SE24
This project featured an open cut string staircase which is visually striking and serves as an elegant feature. With our support, the customers opted for this staircase design in premier grade light oak which is richer in tone and with fewer knots. Our team ensured the wood for the stairs perfectly matched the existing flooring, sourcing and colour-matching the boards in our workshop with meticulous attention to detail.

2. Silver-white chevron parquet flooring in a spacious Victorian terrace
SILVER WHITE ENGINEERED OAK CHEVRON PARQUET FLOOR, WANDSWORTH SW18
For this fabulous project, we installed an oak chevron parquet, in silver white and naturally oiled. A perfect choice for our refined, style-conscious customers with a keen eye for detail and design who wanted a bespoke floor to complement their beautiful home. The cool, neutral tones of silver white highlights the wood’s natural grain patterns, creating an elegant, modern and sophisticated finish to the entire space.

3. A striking oak spiral staircase feature for a newly styled home.
A FEATURE OAK SPIRAL STAIRCASE WITH SEAMLESS WATERFALL CLADDING, MAIDA VALE W9
Drawn to our meticulous approach and high standards, this valued customer collaborated with Fin Wood for the third time for her bespoke interior projects. An oak spiral staircase with seamless waterfall cladding was commissioned in 2025 to create a striking feature in her home. The flawlessly seamless joints enhanced the flow and elegance of the structure. The staircase cladding was completed using engineered oak boards, chosen for their stability and consistent grain, enhancing both the visual and structural harmony of the spiral staircase.

4. The natural beauty of end grain flooring
TIMELESS END-GRAIN FLOOR INSTALLATION FOR A MID-CENTURY TOWNHOUSE, DULWICH SE21
End grain flooring is a distinctive type of wood flooring with an understated modern feel. Unlike traditional planks cut lengthwise, end grain blocks are sawn across the grain, revealing the annual rings of the tree. This gives the surface a unique texture, exceptional durability, and a natural warmth that elevates any interior. The clients wanted a floor that would be both long-lasting and true to the design era of their home, reflecting the modernism of the 1960s without feeling overly retro. End grain flooring offered the perfect balance: a timeless, characterful solution that also complemented the property’s architecture.
