Access panels for Wooden floor

Access panels for Wooden floor: sometimes there is a wine cellar under the subfloor or just a storage cellar which is accessed through a hatch. We will transform this hatch into a crafted access panel perfectly integrated into the floor taking care to minimize its impact over the floor look. It will become a design element which will make your wooden floor even more precious. Each access panel is bespoke crafted in situ.

Below are some schematic samples to achieve a floor access panel after the process of wooden flooring:

  1. Wooden joist;
  2. Original wooden floor (pine boards);
  3. Sub-floor;
  4. Resting frame for the original hatch;
  5. Original hatch;
  6. Initial hatch contour gap;
  7. Resulted access panel contour gap of 2mm;
  8. New wooden floor;
  9. Embedded handles;
  10. Visible or concealed hinges;
  11. Automatic opening lid and stay;
  12. Hydraulic damper unit.
