Description

Oak Premier Unsealed 240 x 20 mm: premier Oak has a more uniform and cleaner look that brings a refined elegance to a home. The lower knot content of premier Oak gives a more contemporary appearance. The warm and rich tone of the wood is emphasised by the finish, which has no added colouring.

Engineered wood floors are suitable for laying over under floor heating and in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, and any other room in the house because of their greater stability and lower moisture level in the wood.

The ply backing of an engineered floor with a hardwood veneer glued on top gives our engineered floors the same beautiful appearance of a solid wood floor but with more efficient use of precious hardwood.

The distinctive knots of our natural Oak give this floor a charming character that will bring a truly unique look to a home.

The engineered wood flooring meets modern requirements and keeps a traditional wood flooring appearance. The multiple layers of plywood backing give support to the visible top layer of the precious hardwood, resulting in a floor that looks and feels like a solid wood floor but that is suitable for under floor heating, can be laid over almost all types of sub floor, and can still be sanded and re-finished after years of use.

If you’re looking for a floor that delivers on character and vibrancy, narrow boards are a great option.

Unsealed products provide the flexibility to finish the wood in any colour once the floor is fitted. This can be anything from a clear sealer, to bring out the beauty of the wood, to a coloured finish to create an individual, bespoke feel. This is ideal for colour matching with an existing floor or simply to introduce a particular shade into a design scheme.

With an engineered floor, you get the same look and feel of a traditional solid wood floor but with the added benefits of more efficient use of precious materials, superior construction, and compatibility with under floor heating.

The engineered board has been produced using a Russian WBP birch ply, manufactured to European standard EN 326-2. The adhesive used to bond the board is an E1 category, PUR adhesive (formaldehyde free) to DIN/EN 14257 and DIN/EN 204 low emission glue which is heat and water resistant in accordance with BS EN 14342:2005+A1. The top layer is kiln dried to between 8-12% moisture content.

The formaldehyde emissions are: 0,01 ppm, pentachlorophenol emissions: <0.8 mg/kg.

Thermal conductivity (W/mK) is 0,10W/mK.

Suitable for secret fixing to ply, battens or joist subfloor, floating on an underlay or a fully bonded installation to a screed subfloor. The unsealed board is supplied with a micro bevel along the length of the board, pre- sanded requiring only a light 100/120 grit sand to finish.

Compatible for use in conjunction with underfloor heating the board complies with BS 8201:2011, rated in accordance with BS EN 13501-1, and is classified D fl -S1 when laid as a fixed floor on a structural subfloor or E fl- S1 when laid on battens or joists for minimal smoke production.
