Beside their functionality, stairs are one of the most important architectural elements of a house. Every detail matters when joining the wooden floor to the stairs. Most of the floor surface can be seen in two dimensions, but the transition between the stairs and the wooden floor is visible from all angles. Our approach is to make it as simple and seamless as possible by reducing to the minimum the usage of trims and profiles and their size. Safety is also of the same importance as the joint between the floor and stairs will have to be strong enough for decades of usage.
We may use a narrow nosing profile if needed or for an even more subtle look, we prefer to seamlessly join the floor with the cladded step.
