Wood floor transition to stairs

Beside their functionality the stairs are one of the most important architectural element of a house. When joining the new wooden floor with the stairs every detail matters. Most of the floor surface can be seen in two dimensions but the transition between the stairs and the wooden floor is visible from all angles. Our approach is to make it as simple and seamlessly as possible by reducing to the minimum the usage of trims and profiles and their size. Also safety is of the same importance as well because this joint between the floor and stairs will have to be strong enough for decades of usage.
We may use a narrow nosing profile or even more subtle simply join the floor with the cladded step.
