Indonesian Teak Decking in Wimbledon, London

We received a not so common request for us, to install an Indonesian Teak Decking. Thanks to the knowledge gained while working with my uncle and doing my apprenticeship - see About Us - I gladly accepted the project.

The decking structure was installed over an exiting new concrete slab laid with an inclination to drain the rain water and we used treated timber to construct it.
Although not a large decking yet there were a few special requirements. One was to integrate two access panels on each side. And another to install the decking in such a manor that when crossing from the inside to outside through the large patio door to avoid any level difference.
We also installed 7 LED spots for creating a beautiful ambience during the summer nights.

As we all know rain can come unannounced and it did. Therefore we had to improvise a tent so the work could continue. Not such a pleasant day.

After the instillation was finished we lightly sanded the teak to expose the grains and we applied the Osmo Teak Oil to seal the boards.
